Aggression of poultry

Definition

A behavioral pattern of poultry characterized by constant attacking, suppression and pursuit of other individuals that are lower in the social order; manifests as driving others from feed and water, expelling them from nests, provoking fights, etc.; it lowers performance and causes mortality, often due to cannibalism.
