Infectious bronchitis

Definition

A highly contagious acute viral disease primarily of chicks up to 4 weeks of age, occasionally of hens; manifests as inflammation of the respiratory tract with labored breathing and coughing; mortality in chicks may reach up to 90%; control is based on vaccination.
